great. to get traded for a guy like frazier, an all-star, they obviously see something in you that they like. they talked to me for a little bit. obviously there's no guarantees, it's baseball, you still have to perform." what was it like playing at dodgers stadium? "my debut was very nerve- racking. there's so many veterans on that team, so walking in there i thought i wasn't going to be able to talk to those guys. but it was the exact opposite, i felt super comfortable talking to those guys. and a.j. ellis, he took me aside and said, 'i know what it's like. see if you can try to slow the game down. see how many breaths you can take, count your breaths today in the game.' honestly, it helped me out a ton." what did it mean when you got your first major league hit and your first major league home run? "first major league hit, it came off the cardinals who i grew up loving and then yadi said something to me in my next at bat, so that was extra special. the first home run, i'll never forget that. it was one of those things where you go up there and you know you have to prove yourself. and then to do it right off the bat just gave me the confidence to know that i deserved to be there." what's your journey been like through the minors? it's been a long for you and you finally cracked the major league level this summer. "i hit every level along the way. so there was no skipping levels for me, i think that's a good thing. i was never a first-rounder, i was a 26th rounder. i had to prove myself along the way
